Contracts and Procurement Lawyer
£35 - £45 per hour
Contracts and Procurement Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London for an initial 9 month period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to gain exposure to public sector contracts. The successful candidate will be working on major projects on behalf of the local authority involving complex construction contracts.
This is a very interesting and varied role and you will be drafting, amending and negotiating a wide variety of contracts which will include;
- NEC 3 & 4 Contracts
- JCT Contracts
- S & G Contracts
- Advising on procurement matters
- Attending weekly project meetings with clients
The ideal Contracts Lawyer will have experience of working in a similar role within the public sector, however this is not essential providing that an excellent understanding of public sector contracts and procurement is held. Candidates from either a private practice or local government background are encouraged to apply.
This local authority is easy to reach, situated within walking distance from main transport links, making it easily accessible by public transport. Some flexible working is available.
