Contracts and Procurement Locum Lawyer is sought to join a busy in-house legal team of a Local Authority based in Surrey (Kingston). The successful contracts and procurement locum lawyer will be joining a friendly and welcoming team of 6 with a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will be capable of managing their own caseload of procurement matters (in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015) and commercial projects. Work load will be varied, including frameworks, DPS and term contracts of differing complexity, collaboration agreements, MOUs, IPR and other commercial legal issues. Awareness of GDPR and its impact on public contracts is essential. Construction contracts (NEC and JCT) experience is desirable.
The local authority work part of a shared arrangement with three other Local Authorities to form a smooth running of their service as a whole.
The council is happy to accommodate working from home arrangements and flexible working hours for the right candidate. The client is seeking experienced individuals who are confident advising client departments and can hit the ground running with their own caseload.
