Contracts and Procurement Lawyer required to join a commercial and forward thinking local authority based in London for an initial 6 month period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to gain exposure to public sector contracts. The successful candidate will be working on major projects on behalf of the local authority involving complex contracts and Shared Service Agreements.
This is a very interesting and varied role and you will be drafting, amending and negotiating a wide variety of contracts. Duties will include;
- Drafting contract clauses
- Negotiating with third parties
- Advising and drafting procurement documents
- Providing legal advice to local authority clients
The ideal Contracts Lawyer will have experience of working in a similar role within the public sector, however this is not essential providing that an excellent understanding of public sector contracts and procurement is held. Candidates from either a private practice or local government background are encouraged to apply.
