Contracts and Procurement Lawyer required to join a busy Local Authority in Northamptonshire on a locum basis.

Our client is seeking a capable and hard-working Lawyer who will be able to carrying out a range of legal contracts work with minimal supervision. The team are therefore seeking a Lawyer with previous experience of dealing with a variety of routine and complex Contracts and Procurement matters within Local Government.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting legal documents (letters, agreements, deeds, notices, orders, consents, by-laws)
  • Negotiating agreements and settlements
  • Providing governance and procurement input
  • Negotiate drafting of contracts and other arrangements for shared or integrated services
  • Construction contracts (JCT) experience desirable

In return, our client is offering a competitive hourly rate and flexible working arrangements such as two days home working and/or a condensed week.

The assignment is expected to last for a minimum of 3 months.
