Contracts and Procurement Solicitor
6 Month fixed term contract
£43,662 - £49,113 pro rata
A busy local authority is looking to recruit an experienced contracts and procurement lawyer to join them on a 6 month fixed term contract. The client may also consider a permanent contract.
Managing a varied and interesting caseload including:
- Construction and regeneration contracts
- Commercial contracts to include company law work
- Asset Management contracts
- Providing general commercial contracts, procurement and state aid advice
- Monitoring existing contracts and service agreements and reviewing compliance
- Advice to Members and senior officers of the Council
- Opportunity to mentor junior staff and help the team develop
This role will ideally suit a Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE in contract law gained within local government. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate their ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an inclusive and welcoming inhouse legal team. The client is ideally wanting a presence in the office one day per week.
