We are delighted to be recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer to join an East London Borough Council on a locum 3-month basis.

The Contracts Lawyer will be:

  • Handling a busy caseload of contracts and procurement matters, including: advising and preparing goods, works and service contracts, framework agreements, grant funding agreements, shared service agreements and other commercial agreements
  • Providing advice to wholly owned subsidiaries of the Council and other third party clients
  • Advising on governance matters, including drafting comments on various committee reports
  • Attending the Council's Procurement Board

Given current circumstances this role will be remote and as such, our client has advised that they are looking for someone with local authority experience and a good working knowledge of contracts and procurement.

The Borough Council normally offer 1-day working from home and the rate is competitive; there are nearby public transport links, inside and outside of London.
