Sellick Partnership are currently seeking a Commercial Contracts Solicitor on behalf of a large public sector organisation in the Staffordshire area. This role will involve managing a mixed caseload of commercial contracts and candidates must be able to negotiate effectively to gain outcomes required by the client.
It is essential that candidates have a strong commercial background, perhaps coming from an in-house or corporate position. Procurement knowledge is essential for this role although and one of your main clients will be the procurement team.
The successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer will take on a workload that may consist of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts to include:
- Construction contracts such as JCT and NEC
- Goods and services
- Waste management contracts
- Advising on clarifications in relation to procurement work
This is a full-time position and is to begin immediately for an initial period of 3 months, although it is likely that the position will continue beyond that.
Whilst not centrally based, our client's offices are easily accessible by public transport.
