My public sector client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to plan and manage a range of delivery work streams such as responsive and planned maintenance, empty property works and cyclical programmes.

The main responsibilities of the Contracts Manager are:

  • Undertake the management of annual delivery work stream projects
  • Manage resources including contractors and monitor their performance
  • Provide a strategic overview of all projects reporting to the Senior Management Team
  • Be responsible for and monitor designated budgets
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources
  • Responsible for supporting the development of services and staff as required
  • Hold accountability for day to day management and monitoring of performance against targets, and ensuring the delivery of service meets the required quality standards
  • Responsible for ensuring that workload is allocated in a balanced and efficient manner and within set timescales

As the Contracts Manager you must have:

  • Experience in Contract Management in an operational and commercial role in construction or maintenance
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Understanding of relevant Statutory Regulations relating to Housing providers
  • ONC/HNC in Construction or a Degree in Construction/Building is desirable
  • A Full UK Driving licence
