Role: Contracts Manager

Location: Birmingham, Hybrid working

Daily rate: £39k to £44k

Sellick partnership are recruiting to a Contracts Manager for our Public Sector client based in Birmingham. The role will suit an experienced procurement professional wishing to advance their career while looking after strategic contract management.

Key responsibilities for the Contracts Manager:

  • Manage contracts on behalf of the Estates and Facilities and the IT departments, sourcing and collecting contract performance data such as pricing and supply chain costs
  • Establish and monitor contract performance to ensure KPI's are achieved and address contractual non-compliance
  • Liaise with the Procurement Category Managers to provide contractual information and data to support procurement activity
  • Ensure value for money and legal compliance while meeting the needs of Stakeholders and Procurement, in an effective manner
  • Add value to Stakeholders and Procurement through delivery of sustainable savings and process improvement
  • Oversee and manage contracts on behalf of the Estates and Facilities and the IT departments
  • Manage and work closely with the Contracts and Category Assistant in the team to provide regular reporting for strategic contracts
  • Be responsible for stakeholder training for contract management
  • Ensure there is an audit process for operational contracts and that stakeholders are following due process for contract management

Person specification for the Contracts Manager:

  • You must be educated to degree level
  • MCIPs qualified or studying
  • FM, Estates and IT experience would be desirable
  • You will have demonstrable experience of negotiation, tendering processes and providing "value for money" savings, and of managing suppliers to SLA's to resolve problems and improve supplier performance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
