Contracts Paralegal required to join a commercial team within a local authority based in Essex for an initial 3 month period.

The successful Contracts Paralegal will primarily be providing contract and procurement advice and providing case support to lawyers in the team. This will include maintaining a database of matters and checking documents for sealing.

A knowledge of contracts and procurement within the public sector is essential, and it would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to hold a knowledge of Local Government. Our client is looking for someone who is also familiar with case management/time recording systems, as well as Microsoft office programs.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and be able to act upon their own initiative, as they may be required to support other teams in times of high workloads.

In return, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain contracts experience within a friendly and supportive local authority. The office is easy to reach, situated in a location which is easily accessible by public transport or car.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Leah Edgar in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
