Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Control / Accounts Receivable Manager to join a reputable manufacturing business in Stoke on Trent. This individual will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable ledger and manage a small team of 2.

Duties of the Credit Control / Accounts Receivable Manager include:

  • Supervising the AR Clerk and Credit Controller to ensure queries, credit notes and manual invoices are processed on a timely basis and bad debts are minimised
  • Review of the full aged debt report on a regular basis to ensure any issues are identified, are being dealt with and senior staff informed
  • Supervision of the daily cash receipts for all UK and foreign bank accounts
  • New account forms/credit changes are reviewed, authorised and implemented in a timely manner
  • Responsible for all direct to consumer and major customer accounts, understand pricing and payment variances and resolving issues promptly
  • Preparation of half and full year credit note provision and bad debt provision workings and schedules for statutory reporting purposes and liaising with auditors
  • Authorising the release of orders on hold and resolution of any issues
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Strong Excel skills are essential - there will be a Excel test on vlookups, pivot tables and data manipulation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good leadership skills from previously managing a team
  • Online sales experience is desirable
