Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a modern and reputable business in Alfreton, Derbyshire. The role will initially begin temporary, with a view to go permanent in the New Year for the right person.

The duties of the Credit Controller include but are not limited to:

  • To ensure that cash owed to the business is collected in a timely manner to reduce liquidity risks to the business
  • To ensure this cash is correctly allocated to the customer accounts
  • Analyse the accounts receivable and ensure that all associates understand the importance of cash management
  • Lead monthly debt reviews with senior stakeholders for each entity
  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescale
  • Prepare weekly reports on the credit control for management
  • Month end reports provided including Debtors and Bad Debt write off provision

The ideal Credit Controller will have the following:

  • Proven experience of all duties above to a satisfactory level
  • Ability to work under own direction
  • Experience of working on Excel on an intermediate level, performing VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
  • Flexibility to support and work with various departments and levels of management
  • Ability to apply core Credit Control skills in Credit Enforcement, Credit Risk Management and Legal Proceedings
  • An organised, confident approach to the role, with strong and confident communication skills
