Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a reputable and growing family owned business on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be wanting to learn and progress within their role and in return, get the opportunity to develop alongside the company growth.

The duties of the Credit Controller include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
  • Reviewing and setting up payment terms in line with company policies
  • Checking customer's credit ratings with banks
  • Collecting and taking payments, including Direct Debits, as well as negotiating re-payment plans with customers
  • Providing accounts information to internal colleagues and reporting older debts to third party insurers
  • Assisting the Management Accountant with Aged debt and invoice discounting reporting at month end

The ideal Credit Controller will have:

  • Proven experience within the duties above
  • Ability to be independent and prioritise own workloads after training is completed
  • Excellent computer skills - Sage Line 50 experience is desirable in order to analyse and reconcile accounts
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, letter and email, in order to maintain good client relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with invoice discounting would be a bonus
