Credit Controller

Role: Credit Controller

Salary: £9 to £13 per hour

Location: Tamworth - office based

Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Additional information: 3 to 6 month contract

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting an interim Credit Controller for our Public Sector client based out of Tamworth.

Key Responsibilities for the Credit Controller:

  • Maintaining the credit control system
  • Dealing with the allocation of remittances on the Sales Ledger and keeping comprehensive notes
  • Dealing with Sales Ledger remittances, banking and cash allocation
  • Management and collection of debt collection, when necessary

Detailed Tasks for the Credit Controller

  • Credit Control
  • Maintaining supplier accounts on the Group's accounting systems
  • Ensuring suppliers are paid by BACS or cheque on a regular basis
  • Maintaining supplier accounts on the Group's accounting systems
  • Managing Accounts to ensure Debt is collected and chased in a timely manner
  • Processing the payment and allocating against remittances
  • Managing queries and escalating to the relevant departments

Sales Ledger:

  • Recording customer remittances, banking customer cheques and dealing with the allocation of sales ledger payments on the Group's accounting system(s) on a daily basis
  • Assisting in the printing and distribution of customer/client account statements, in order to assist in ensuring the timely settlement of our invoices


  • Handling incoming phone calls when necessary
  • Assisting with Finance filing and also archiving using the external on-line archiving system
