Great opportunity for a Data Protection Team Manager to join a London Borough Council, handling specialist data protection work and managing a team.

This role is an ongoing locum contract, working remotely with a monthly meeting in the office.

The Data Protection Team Manager will have managerial experience and specialist data protection knowledge as both are crucial elements of the role. In particular experience in Subject Access Requests would be beneficial. Prior experience handling DP/FOI within a Childcare Team would be a real bonus.

This contract is initially for 3-months and will be an ongoing locum contract.

Our client is open to Data Protection Specialists from the private sector as well as public sector.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a team, including 1-to-1 meetings and management of team tasks
  • Acting as the go-to Data Protection specialist for the service
  • Advising clients
  • Dealing with complex queries
  • Attending meetings
