My client is based in Staffordshire and is seeking an individual to join their in-house legal services team for an initial 3-6 month locum position. This role wold be ideal for an experienced paralegal, or perhaps an LPC graduate looking to build their CV and add some hands on legal experience.

The role will entail working remotely, although you will be required to attend the office for 1 day to collect equipment and undertake initial systems training. The client needs someone who can work a 5 day week and who is able to be very results and process driven. This role is to manage a caseload of Deferred Payments Agreements. The successful candidate will be given full training and the process is simple to follow, you do not need to have previous experience in this field. Daily tasks will involve registering the deferred payments with the Land Registry and processing all necessary documents. Deferred payments are related to debts and charges owed to the local authority in relation to care home fees. It is an important role in recovering monies owed and helping the wider community.
