Our client, a public sector organisation based in the North West, is seeking a Democratic Services Officer to join their friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of local government democratic services functions and services, including local government legislation and best practice including FOI and Data Protection.

Responsibilities of the Democratic Services Officer include, but are not exclusive to:

  • Utilising knowledge of specialist procedures and governance arrangements, to provide specialist democratic support services to the business
  • Providing advice on a range on specialist policies, procedures, and governance arrangements
  • Supporting and servicing of meetings ensuring the effective administration, management and operation of the business's formal decision making structures and governance arrangements

This is a permanent position and will provide the successful candidate with access to various salary benefits, as well as access to the local government pension scheme.
