Our client, a Midlands based Local Authority is seeking a Democratic Services Officer to join their friendly and supportive Legal Services team on a locum basis for a minimum period of 3 months.
Day to day responsibilities for this role may include;
- Providing professional procedural advice to members, officers and the public in relating to governance processes
- Advising on the procedural and administrative aspects of the Committee process with regards to the constitutional and legislative framework in meetings
- Maintaining and updating the Council's constitution
- Arranging meetings, preparation of agenda and reports & preparing meetings
The ideal candidate will be available at short notice to undertake this position on a full-time basis. Previous experience within this area of work as a Democratic Services Officer or Committee Services Officer is highly desirable.
This position will be based remotely.
