University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) have retained Sellick Partnership to recruit a Deputy Director of Finance on a permanent basis. This exciting role involves significant opportunities for personal and professional development as well as exposure to a wide range of issues and challenges facing the healthcare sector.
Our client is looking for a commercially astute, transformational senior finance leader, who shares their values and who is looking for an opportunity to be stretched. NHS experience is not essential.
You will work closely with three experienced and highly-regarded deputies, the Executive Director of Finance & Performance and other members of the senior team across a wide portfolio, therefore the ability to demonstrate working successfully as part of a senior team is essential.
With an ability to manage multiple projects and drive change, you will display resilience and robustness with an outstanding track record of delivering in complex, fast-paced environments.
As well as building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, clinicians and partners, you will be a natural leader who can motivate and engage your staff through the change programme as they strive to provide the exceptional standards of patient care and experience the Trust prides itself on.
As a qualified accountant you will be keen to fully utilise your broad ability and you will relish the challenge and career enhancing experience this role will provide.
There has never been a better time to come and work at UHDB. The Trust was formed on 1 July 2018 to bring together their five hospitals - in Derby, Burton, Lichfield and Tamworth - to provide the highest quality care to patients across Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire.
With over 13,000 members of staff you can expect huge variety and new opportunities every day! The staff at UHDB go above and beyond and take pride in caring for their patients.
UHDB is fully committed to promoting inclusion, equality, diversity and human rights in employment and delivery of its services. The Trust is committed to providing an environment where all employees, patients, carers and visitors experience equality of opportunity by means of understanding and appreciating the value of diversity.
As a Trust they promote an inclusive environment and welcome applications from a diverse pool of talent and backgrounds. All individuals are valued and given every opportunity to succeed based on merit.
The Trust actively encourages applications from members of our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. These groups are under-represented in our organisation, and it's important to us that our workforce reflects the diversity of our communities as much as possible.
Join UHDB and help make a real difference!
Closing date for applications is Monday, 2nd March 2020.
Final interviews will be held on Thursday, 19th March 2020.
