Deputy Elections Officer

Sellick Partnership are currently assisting a local authority situated in Greater Manchester with the recruitment of a Deputy Elections Officer on a locum basis.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the elections process and previous experience gained within the public sector. The successful Deputy Elections Officer will be responsible for but not limited to;

  • Running the day-to-day delivery and management of the Elections and Electoral Registration Service to ensure the organisation of elections and Referenda.
  • Providing efficient and accurate compilation and maintenance of the Electoral Register
  • Managing the collection, secure storage and destruction of personal data
  • Coordinating and taking part in home visits to assist electors
  • Providing advice to Elected Members, MPs, MEPs, Candidates, Agents and members of the public on matters relating to Elections and Electoral Registration.

This is an excellent opportunity and would be a valuable addition to your CV. Hybrid working is preferable however remote working could be considered depending on circumstances.

The post will run for an initial 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter.
