Children's Support Worker

12month Contract

Swadlincote

37 hours pw (Monday to Friday)

We are recruiting for a non-for-profit organisation, who are looking for an experienced Children's Support Worker to join their team on a 12 month basis

Duties of the Children's Support Worker role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support children in refuge that have witnessed domestic abuse within the community
  • Organise, plan and supervise a programme of activities for children of all ages (0 - 16)
  • Provide parents and children with appropriate practical and emotional support
  • Formulate, implement, review and evaluate individual support plans
  • Develop and promote internal and external tenant support networks

Essential criteria of the Children's Support Worker include:

  • An Enhanced DBS
  • Experience supporting those that have faced Domestic Violence, including children
  • UK Drivers' license and access to a vehicle
