A great opportunity for an Education and Adults Lawyer to join a London Borough Council!
This opportunity is initially a locum 3-month contract, expected to extend beyond this initial period.
The Education and Adults Lawyer will be handling Special Educational Needs (SEN) matters and tribunals, alongside other responsibilities, including advising on the Mental Health Act and Adults Safeguarding.
Our client has advised that ideally the lawyer will have experience in both education and adults law, however, those with education experience who have touched upon, or have an interest in, adults law, will be strongly considered. Further, while local government experience is highly desirable, our client will consider those from private practice.
For the time being the role will be conducted remotely, returning to the council offices when possible, with 1-2 days working from home. The council offer flexible working patterns and are located nearby to public transport links.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
