Great opportunity starting in December for an Education Lawyer.
A busy and vibrant London Local Authority are looking for a locum Education Lawyer to join their team in December. This is a locum contract, expected to extend onto a rolling contract basis.
The council are looking for an experienced Education Lawyer who can hit the ground running and will handle a caseload of education matters, such as Special Educational Needs, Schools Admissions and Exclusions, etc. It would be a bonus if the Education Lawyer were also able to pick up childrens social care or adults safeguarding work, but this is not required.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Education Lawyer to work with this friendly team. The role gives the opportunity to build on, and develop, experience and would look fantastic on a CV. The Council are offering a competitive rate and the role will be undertaken entirely remotely.
With the December start date, this role is open to those on longer notice periods.
This contract is expected to be a long-running locum contract, making it an even better opportunity!
In terms of experience, the Education Lawyer should be capable and confident, able to work independently. They should also be a qualified lawyer or equivalent. Local authority experience is preferable, but should the Education Lawyer have strong experience in education law from a different background, they will be strongly considered.
