An experienced education locum is sought to join an established local authority legal team whilst they recruit on a permanent basis. The role will initially be for 3 months with the possibility of extension and/or to be made permanent.
This is a part time role, working between 20-25 hours per week, ideally over 4 or 5 days. The role will be recruited on the basis of it being fully remote for the duration of the locum assignment.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of education and related litigation matters including:
- SEN advice
- General advice to schools
- Policy work
- Advising on discrimination issues
- Assisting the wider team with adult social care debts- general debt recovery
- Advising schools in relation to contractual disputes
The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience gained in a similar role and will ideally be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister.
