Education Solicitor

Our client, a Private Practice based in Buckinghamshire is seeking an Education Solicitor to join them for a maternity contract in June.

This is an excellent long-term locum opportunity and would suit an Education Lawyer with experience gained across a breadth of Education law work; SEND knowledge and experience is essential for this opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Dealing with all aspects of appeals to the SEND tribunal (predominately on behalf of local authorities) including drafting responses to appeals, instructing expert witnesses and providing representation before the SEND Tribunal
  • Providing legal advice to maintained schools, academies and independent schools on a range of SEND and Education Law matters Including school admissions, exclusions, parental complaints, discrimination complaints claims and regulatory / policy issues

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE who has an in-depth understanding of Education and SEND law. The firm are offering a competitive hourly rate and the option to work remotely.
