Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Electrician for a social housing provider towards Derby.

Responsibilities of the Electrician include:

  • Attending pre-arranged responsive repair appointments to carry out work or contact customers directly to make access arrangements
  • Working flexibly to enable repairs to be carried out at times arranged with the customer
  • Maintaining material van stocks on allocated vehicle and documenting use where allocated to job and replenish as necessary
  • Receiving repair requests or direct instruction, analysing the extent of work required and carry out the necessary repairs to rectify the fault
  • Carrying out a variety of electrical inspection functions relating to housing repairs and maintenance
  • Minimising disruption to customers and ensure compliance with safe methods of working in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Building Regulations & FHG's Health, Safety and Environment Policy
  • Maintaining effective communication with the supervisory administration and management staff passing on information, concerns and problems with regard to any jobs
  • Complying with, the relevant risk assessments, hazards and the control measures to be used
  • Maintaining in a correct manner, protective equipment and material provided for health and safety

Essential requirements:

  • Must have either 17th or 18th Edition
  • Knowledge of the Building Regulations (Part P) and other relevant parts of the regulations
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Desirable requirements:

  • Qualified to City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing
