Sellick Partnership is currently assisting a shared legal service with the recruitment of a permanent Employment and Governance lawyer. This position is an exciting role to not only conduct day to day employment matters but to build on governance related work to enhance your career prospects.
You will be working for a number of local authorities across the region in advising on and conducting both contentious and non-contentious matters which include; TUPE, PAY policy, equal pay, redundancy and discrimination matters along with whistleblowing.
Our client is happy to consider candidates that have experience in either the public sector or private practice. You will have a real range of clients which allow the work to remain varied and interesting - these will include schools, academies and fire services.
Employment tribunal work will be included in this but mediation will be acted on where necessary. Tribunal matters tend to be within the Hertfordshire area in the main. Travel may be required to various clients but will be kept to a minimum where possible.
Those who have the experience will have the opportunity to deputise for the Monitoring officer with one council and also for the fire service with one region with the view to bring this work back in-house.
