An Employment Solicitor is required to join an award-winning, UK Top 50 Law Firm based in London on a full-time permanent basis. This is an opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to become a member of an established law firm that upholds its reputation for providing exceptional service to its clientele.

Title: Employment Associate

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 DOE

Contract: Full-time permanent

Location: London

Key Responsibilities of the Employment Associate:

  • Providing a quality, tailored, and supportive legal service to a wide range of clients
  • Handling general work issues, like maternity rights and contract concerns
  • Writing service agreements, employment contracts, and staff handbooks
  • Creating and reviewing workplace policies on performance, sickness, misconduct, maternity, and parental leave
  • Providing support for corporate transactions
  • Dealing with wrongful or unfair dismissal cases
  • Managing redundancy and restructuring situations
  • Handling the Transfer of Undertakings
  • Helping senior executives with job negotiations, including complex pay and benefits
  • Representing clients in employment tribunal cases
  • Advising on discrimination issues (sex, race, disability, age)
  • Offering guidance on international or offshore work placements
  • general queries about flexible working, maternity rights, paternity rights, etc
  • Corporate support

Desirable Skills and Requirements of the Employment Associate:

  • 3-4+ years PQE at a reputable regional, national, or city firm
  • Interest and ability to help grow the business and find new opportunities
  • Strong motivation to produce high-quality work and documents consistently
  • Flexible approach to work to meet client deadlines and maintain regular communication with clients
  • Ambitious, driven, and highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
