Employment Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London on a short term contact basis, with the view to extend thereafter.
As an Employment Lawyer, you will be handling a large and complex caseload which will include:
- Dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters
- Advising officers and members
- Employment tribunal work
Our client is looking for somebody with excellent case management skills, demonstrable drafting and negotiating skills along with fantastic written, interpersonal and advocacy skills to provide clear written and verbal advice at a strategic and local level. This role would be well suited to a lawyer with at least 2 years post qualification experience, however newly qualified candidates will be strongly considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a varied workload within a popular council. Previous local authority experience is not essential for this post and so all applicants with a good knowledge of employment law are encouraged to apply.
