An Employment Lawyer is required to join a Local Authority Legal Services Team based in Central London on a locum basis for an initial 3 - 6 months plus period.

There will be an opportunity to apply for a permanent position for the successful Employment Lawyer.

As an Employment Lawyer, you will be handling a varied caseload which will include:

  • Dealing with contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • A varied caseload of employment law matters such as discrimination, dismissal, TUPE, redundancy
  • Advising officers and members on Employment Law matters
  • Undertaking Employment Tribunal work

Our client is looking for an Employment Lawyer with excellent case management skills, demonstrable drafting and negotiating skills along with fantastic written, interpersonal and advocacy skills to provide clear written and verbal advice at a strategic and local level. This role would be well suited to an Employment Lawyer with a public sector background as well as those from a private sector background, provided transferable skills and experience can be shown.

This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a varied Employment Law workload within a large legal team.
