About the Education Lawyer position:

Sellick Partnership is thrilled to be supporting a public sector legal firm in Kent with recruitment for a permanent Employment Lawyer to join their Legal Services team.

Our client is recruiting for a full-time, permanent lawyer to join their friendly and supportive Legal Services team. The successful Employment Lawyer will be able to undertake this role on a hybrid working basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking legal services team.

Responsibilities of the Employment Lawyer:

  • Prepare cases for multiday hearings before Employment Tribunals
  • Represent clients at Tribunals and Courts or assist counsel in the representation
  • Advise on a wide range or employment law matters, including TUPE, employee relations, and governance
  • Manage a full caseload of employment-related cases with some supervision
  • Conduct legal research and share findings with the team to support case preparation
  • Provide legal support to other teams within the organisation
  • Deliver training updates to HR officers

Experience required for the Employment Lawyer:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
  • Proven experience in employment law
  • Ability to manage own caseload, and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
