About the Education Lawyer position:
Sellick Partnership is thrilled to be supporting a public sector legal firm in Kent with recruitment for a permanent Employment Lawyer to join their Legal Services team.
Our client is recruiting for a full-time, permanent lawyer to join their friendly and supportive Legal Services team. The successful Employment Lawyer will be able to undertake this role on a hybrid working basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking legal services team.
Responsibilities of the Employment Lawyer:
- Prepare cases for multiday hearings before Employment Tribunals
- Represent clients at Tribunals and Courts or assist counsel in the representation
- Advise on a wide range or employment law matters, including TUPE, employee relations, and governance
- Manage a full caseload of employment-related cases with some supervision
- Conduct legal research and share findings with the team to support case preparation
- Provide legal support to other teams within the organisation
- Deliver training updates to HR officers
Experience required for the Employment Lawyer:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive
- Proven experience in employment law
- Ability to manage own caseload, and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
