We are working with an organisation in Chesterfield who are currently seeking an experienced Empty homes Finisher to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Empty homes finisher will be required to provide a finishing and snagging service to void properties in the Chesterfield area.

Responsibilities of the Empty homes Finisher include:

  • Inspect each void at work completion prior to property sign off
  • Carry out minor finishing duties such as decoration, sealing and door adjustments and other minor joinery/ plumbing works
  • Identify any minor defects and ensure that these defects are rectified
  • Report any major defects to the associated void team leader
  • Complete handover paperwork and change the door locks to the property
  • Ensure the property and the associated grounds are clean, clear and tidy and that no hazards are present
  • Repair or rectify any snagging issues that are reported to us by the incoming tenant in a timely manner including setting up appointments and communication to voids administrators when snagging issues are complete
  • Organise and carry out post tenancy visits

Criteria of the Empty homes Finisher:

  • City and Guilds (or equivalent) trained
  • Excellent multi-trade skills with knowledge and experience in trades including but not exclusive to joinery, plumbing, decoration, tiling
  • Possess a full valid driving licence
  • Be willing to undertake any training required to carry out the job e.g. Legionella, lifting and manual handling, COSHH
