Sellick Partnership are working with a large and successful organisation in the South Yorkshire area to recruit for an interim Finance and Contracting Support Officer.

Duties & responsibilities of the Finance and Contracting Support Officer:

  • Provide and receive complex information regarding contract documentation, activity, monitoring of contracts and application of contract levers and penalties.
  • Persuade and negotiate with stakeholders to organise and communicate contract schedules and meetings over an annual timescale bringing together senior representatives from the CCG and provider organisations, including clinicians, with heavy diary commitments.
  • Analyse, investigate and resolving complex contracting activity and monitoring information queries and discrepancies, e.g. concerning acute, mental health or primary care clinical activity information across a range of services. Analyse contracting and activity monitoring data/information to identify errors and sorts out problems from a range of options
  • Assist the production of month-end accounts and reports, for a designated portfolio of contracts and cost centres, contributing to the total accounts of the CCG, including forecasting to the end of the financial year, by analysing complex trends, for a designated portfolio of contracts and cost centres, involving reconciling the general ledger to contractual arrangements on a monthly basis, calculation and input of accruals and forecasts to the accounting system, cost centre reviews and other month end queries. Investigate variances from budgets as required and take corrective action.
  • Provide a detailed analytical review of movements and variances. The successful Finance and Contracting Support Officer will have:
  • Previous exposure to a Finance function
  • Experience of working to and meeting strict deadlines
  • Be AAT qualified
