Finance Business Partner

Temporary, full-time

Fully remote

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to work closely with an exciting NHS client to recruit a Finance Business Partner, on an interim basis, for a minimum duration of 6 months. The overarching aim of the role is to support the work stream lead with the provision of financial support.

Day to day duties of the Finance Business Partner role involve:

  • Ensure a robust and cohesive approach to financial management and support the decision making of the work stream to ensure effective use of financial resources in pursuit of agreed operational goals.
  • Work closely with the work stream and transactional reporting teams to effectively and accurately report spend and forecasts across the lifespan of the programme.
  • Accountable for the production of all month end reporting in line with programme requirements and deliver meaningful performance analysis including triangulation of financial and non-financial information to ensure a clear understanding of the drivers of the work stream financial performance.
  • Accountable for producing and reporting the work stream financial position each month.
  • Monitor the accuracy of month end adjustments and deliver reports and forecasts reflecting the performance of the work stream to the Finance Business Partner together with meaningful variance analysis and identifying appropriate remedial action and interventions.
  • Apply appropriate costing methodologies, in accordance with best practice, to the provision of operational management information, business cases and statutory information requirements.
  • Provide financial support for business cases, applying appropriate financial appraisal techniques including constructive challenge where required to ensure efficient use of financial resources.

It is essential, that you have prior experience working within the NHS to be able to undertake this Finance Business Partner role. The role also requires strong stakeholder engagement and proven ability to work collaboratively across different stakeholder groups. You will also need to be confident in providing suitable and appropriate challenge and scrutiny in relation to spend and proposed funding requirements.

In addition, this Finance Business Partner role requires strong financial analysis and Excel skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified is preferred. This role is to be conducted on a fully remote, working from home basis.
