Finance Business Partner

Sellick Partnership are actively recruiting to a Finance Business Partner role, to support specific business areas, responding to new pressures as they arise.

The post holder will develop an in-depth knowledge of the company, the finance systems and processes and will play an active role in the ongoing management and implementation of high value and complex programmes, providing financial advice and challenge. You will be working as a strategic partner, interpreting data, proactively managing budgets and accounts with managers

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner include:

  • Provide clear, relevant advice to support effective decision making in specific business areas
  • Build strong and productive relationships with teams to ensure you become a trusted advisor
  • Act as a key liaison between finance and the wider operational teams
  • Support the team in providing relevant and timely ad hoc analysis to senior management, embedding them to manage their department strategically
  • Establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of business outcomes and encourage collaborative team working
  • To assist in the delivery of business plans and corporate strategy with financial requirements to achieve cost effective outcomes
  • Maintain knowledge of FRS203 and any appropriate standards
  • Support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely Statutory accounts and audit requirements
  • Lead on management accounting requirements and supporting narrative and explanations for Senior Managers and Operational teams
  • Ensure all accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and associated work is accurate and up to date
  • Ensure that Intercompany Balances are maintained accurately and liaise with the wider teams as and when required
  • Involvements in development of Financial Systems to support an ongoing programme of reporting improvements
  • Treasury Management - ensure that cash flow requirements are met
  • Oversee and supervise the Finance Analyst work oto support the team and wider organisation

Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification
  • Evidence of excellent relationship management skills to provide a comprehensive and concise resolution to problems and working as a strategic partner to managers
  • Experience of working within Finance with good understanding of budgeting and accounting principles
  • Financial analysis and appraisal skills
