Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Finance Co-ordinator for a large housing organisation based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Reporting to the Finance Operations Team Leader, the Finance Co-ordinator with be responsible for the delivery of high quality, cost effective, customer focused services and administration of both the purchase and sales ledgers

Key responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices, ensuring adherence to a specified month end timetable
  • Perform monthly creditor statements checks and carry out monthly reconciliation of the creditor accounts
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Undertake regular maintenance of creditor accounts through the generation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Prepare the timely and accurate processing of cashbooks and direct debits
  • Prepare and issue sundry payments, inclusive of rent refunds, in accordance with agreed procedures and appropriate authorisation
  • Prepare the schedule of payments to suppliers within the agreed timescales
  • Preparation of the daily bank statements
  • Maintain, administer and reconcile petty cash
  • Review the monthly aged debtor report and undertake appropriate recovery action if required
  • Provide cover for duties of colleagues within Finance Operations

Essential experience:

  • A strong record of demonstrable achievement in service delivery of finance services
  • Experience of working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of using accounting software packages
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of finance services

Desirable experience:

  • Evidence of continuing professional
  • Understanding of financial governance practices and issues
  • Qualified or working towards an AAT or similar professional qualification
