Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Manager for a growing SME business within the insurance sector. Due to this growth they are looking to recruit this new Finance Manager role to assist the current finance team with improving their reporting.

Reporting directly into the CFO you will work closely with the wider finance team including mentoring junior members and developing the effectiveness of the reports. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing finance professional to make their mark within a sizeable business and progress as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the month end cycle across the group and operating entities including month end balance sheet review
  • Responsible for the annual statutory and quarterly regulatory reports ensure a smooth compliance throughout
  • Responsibility for the company tax returns ensuring compliance to accounting standards
  • Managing and providing an oversight of the group's debt or equity obligations to external stakeholders
  • Complete second line financial reconciliation for all subsidiaries

The person:

The successful applicant will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) either making their first move from practice or coming from a similar role, ideally with experience within the insurance industry.

Due to the nature of this position it is necessary that you are able to work in high pressured environment with the flexibility to manage long and short-term impacts. You will ideally have experience within the non-life insurance industry with an understanding of the regulated solvency requirements.
