Finance Manager (Business Partnering)

£50,000 - £60,000

Permanent, Full-time

We are currently supporting our client in recruiting for a Finance Manager who specialises in Business Partnering to join a rapidly growing Public Sector organisation based in Cambridgeshire. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has previous finance business partnering experience to join their dynamic and growing finance function on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Finance Manager, you will be challenged and given the opportunity to lead your Finance team, whilst working alongside the Head of Finance to maintain month end accounts and support in long term business plans. You will work within a stable team, carrying out varied duties including preparation of annual budgets and providing clear management reports.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Providing effective finance business partnering
  • Liaising with senior managers to demonstrate evidence of decision making within financial control, procurement and commercial planning
  • Providing insightful and detailed variance analysis reports
  • Supporting the delivery of timely and manageable management reports
  • Contributing to the year end preparation of statutory accounts
  • Leading on the financial appraisal of new investment opportunities
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors.

Required skills and experience of the Finance Manager:

  • CCAB Qualified Accountant or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of using Open Accounts software (preferred)
  • Ability to build respectful working relationships with budget holders and key stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to effective and efficient implementation.
