Role - Financial Accountant

Location - Preston

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Financial Accountant position for a PE backed growing business based near Preston. Due to substantial growth they are looking to bolster their team with a key finance position. With ambitions to double the turnover this is an exciting period to join the business and will give the successful person the opportunity to gain a broad exposure.

In this role you will support the Financial Controller with the full financial control. This will include the statutory reports and audits alongside the management accounts process. However, due to the progressive nature of the business they are looking for someone who can get involved with meaningful commercial insight providing ad-hoc project support to the PE house.

The Responsibilities

Management of the month end close, working closely with the Financial Controller to adhere to strict timings

Ad-hoc project work surrounding the commercials of the business, offering insight where needed

Working closely with the PE house to produce meaningful reports and present these to senior stakeholders

You will liaise with external auditors, providing any additional material needed

Completion of the full statutory accounts

Business partnering with Heads of Department to ensure compliance against budgets

The Person

The successful applicant will be a proactive, fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ICAS/ACCA/CIMA) ideally looking to make their first move from practice. However candidates who have a proven track record within a similar role may be considered. You will be an ambitious individual who is looking to push forwards within a business and develop their skill set.
