Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller within an SME business in South Manchester. A business services group, they work with both private and public companies and offer a range of services for commercial, residential and public spaces.

A dynamic organisation they are looking to recruit a Financial Controller/Finance Manager to report directly into the MD to assist with the direction of the overall business. You will be heavily involved with managing the day to day function of the accounting team including staff management. Alongside this you will have the opportunity to develop the business including getting involved with ad-hoc bids for investment.

The Role:

  • Managing the full accounting function including a team of six
  • Completing the monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets with additional commentary
  • Producing ad-hoc reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Working alongside project managers to reduce cost
  • Liaising with stakeholders including banks, lenders and auditors
  • Opportunity to get involved with internal development projects

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong communication skills. You will have a proven track record working with a senior leadership team, ideally within an SME environment. A strong minded individual you won't be afraid to challenge the status quo and enhance existing processes wherever you see fit.
