Role - Financial Reporting Accountant

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000

Location - Manchester City Centre

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant for a growing insurance firm in Manchester City Centre. Due to some change within the company they are looking to recruit a technical reporting expert to join their impressive team. Economic change will heavily impact this role and will give the successful person the opportunity to get involved with ad-hoc projects and risk compliance.

In this role you will support an impressive technical reporting manager in developing robust reports. This will include the statutory reports and audits alongside ad-hoc projects as and when required by economic change as well as internal projects.

The Responsibilities

  • Completion of the annual group and company financial statements
  • Operate within IFRS accounting standards and help implement and new standards as and when they are implemented
  • You will liaise with external auditors, providing any additional material needed
  • Producing solvency and financial condition reports where needed
  • Business partnering with Heads of Department to ensure compliance

The Person

The successful applicant will be a proactive, fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ICAS/ACCA/CIMA) ideally looking to make their first move from practice. However candidates who have a proven track record within a similar role may be considered. You will be an ambitious individual who is looking to push forwards within a business and develop their skill set.

Ideally you will have experience within Solvency II reporting and therefore will enhance the existing skills in the team. However, ambitious first time movers from practice will also be considered without this.
