Financial Reporting Manager

Sellick Partnership are recruiting an interim Financial Reporting Manager for a global organisation in the South Manchester area. Following a large period of expansion, this highly acquisitive client turned over upwards of £750 million in the last year and are market leaders in their niche service sector. With a positive 5 year plan in place, the organisation require an assertive individual to assist with the year-end preparations. The fast paced nature of this dynamic organisation requires a tenacious, qualified individual to hit the ground running within an established team for the duration of this interim role.
This newly established, exciting role has arisen to assist with the volume of work around the year end period and requires strong levels of people management.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager include:
- Full completion of financial reports and statutory accounts around month and year end.
- Accurate maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet.
- Assisting with the timely completion of the audit process.
- Overseeing weekly and monthly budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Take a lead on group consolidations.
- Manage a small team of qualified accountants.
- Business partner with key internal stakeholders.
The Ideal Financial Reporting Manager
The successful Financial Reporting Manager will ideally be a confident, dynamic qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong managerial skills. They will be technically exceptional and have extensive experience in assisting with year and quarterly end projects. The ability to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels is essential, as is the ability to delegate and use initiative to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will possess good organisational and time management skills and have the capacity to effectively prioritise a heavy workload.
