Fire Safety Manager required to work with a Surrey based Public Sector client.

The role will be mainly covering Surrey with some travel across London

Our client is looking for a Project Manager with experience in supervising fire improvement works including fire door replacements, fire stopping and fire alarm installations

Responsibilities of the Fire Safety Manager include:

  • Delivering planned fire improvement works to properties ensuring that legislation and regulation requirements are met
  • Working collaboratively with the Home Ownership team to ensure compliance with Section 20 consultation procedures
  • Inspecting properties to scope fire improvement works and prepare specifications in accordance with the block fire risk assessments, fire safety standards and framework contracts
  • Monitoring and inspecting fire improvement works
  • Carrying out handover inspections on completed works
  • Collating and retaining project documentation for completed works

Required skills and experience of the Fire Safety Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of fire safety measures, health and safety requirements, building structures and passive fire safety components
  • Experience of managing maintenance services within a Registered Social Landlord or private sectors
  • Possess a valid drivers' license

Desirable skills and experience of the Fire Safety Manager

  • IOSH
  • NEBOSH
