Fitness to Practise Caseworker

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitness to Practise Caseworker to join a regulatory law team of a professional healthcare regulator in the London. The successful candidate will undertake the investigatory / preparatory work in respect of the cases within their caseload for the Council's less complex Fitness to Practise and enquiry cases.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate for this Fitness to Practise Caseworker role will have:

  • Law degree
  • 6 months experience case-handling in a healthcare regulatory setting

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate for this Fitness to Practise Caseworker role will be required to:

  • Liaise with and chase information from complainants
  • Draft case plans documenting key evidence as part of the investigation
  • Investigating and gathering evidence on new cases
  • Taking witness statements from the complainant and other witnesses
  • Instructing Counsel and Expert Opinion
  • Drafting correspondence for the Investigation managers
