A Childcare solicitor is required to join a supportive local authority near the Surrey area. My client is looking for an experienced Childcare solicitor to join them for a minimum of 3-6 months.

As a Childcare solicitor you will carry a full caseload of Childcare matters, which will include Care cases, Pre-proceedings and some Private Law matters. The role is varied and you will:

Key responsibilities and cases will include:

  • Mental Health
  • Neglect
  • Substance misuse
  • International element
  • Designated authority
  • Appeals to judge decisions
  • Attending PLO meetings
  • Conducting of advocacy

Required skills and experience of the Childcare Solicitor

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE experience
  • Public Childcare Law experience
  • Experience of conducting your own advocacy
