Sellick Partnership are seeking a Democratic Services and Governance Manager to join a Local Authority based in the Midlands on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will take on a varied workload, and will be required to:
- Manage the Governance Officers
- Develop, maintain and improve the Council's governance processes
- Interpret complex legislation, statutory guidance and the Constitution
- Complete Community Governance reviews
- Act as the statutory Scrutiny Officer and advise and lead Scrutiny Panels
- Provide advice and support to the Democratic Services
The ideal candidate for this unique position will be a proactive and tenacious individual. They will have previous management experience and have excellent knowledge of Democratic and Members' Services in the public sector.
