Governance Locum

£700 - 750 per hour

Full time / Part time

Remote working

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Full Time / Part Time Governance Lawyer at a reputable Local Authority based in the South East on a locum basis.

A Governance lawyer with local authority experience is highly preferable, however our client is willing to consider Governance lawyers from various backgrounds with transferable skills.

The council are a really friendly and supportive team and seeking an experienced lawyer to assist with the influx in workload.

The Governance Lawyer will deal with the following but are not subject to:

  1. Constitutional amendments
  2. Scheme of delegation
  3. Standing orders
  4. Preparing reports
  5. Dealing with some complaints
  6. To keep abreast of legal developments in the field of Corporate Governance and ensure that the councils Corporate Governance team operates in accordance with modern good practice
  7. To support the Head of Legal Partnership / Principal Lawyer (Corporate Governance and Contentious) in the delivery of the vision agreed by the Councils
