Our client, a large Local Authority, is seeking a Governance Lawyer to commence a locum assignment to provide intensive support on a key governance project.
The successful candidate will be experienced in advising and drafting Local Authority constitutions. Day to day responsibilities of this role may include;
- Advising on legal requirements of a local authority constitution
- Drafting parts of a new constitution
- Advising on legal requirements and limitations of a committee system
- Attending project meetings
This position is to start as soon as possible. The successful Governance Lawyer will ideally have an understanding of the modern committee system and experience of putting complex legal concepts into plain language.
This role will be based remotely, with the exception of occasional attendance required in person for meetings.
