Graduate Data Scientist sought for a leading Insurance Company based in the Midlands. Our client is a fast paced General Insurer with impressive growth plans and a strong focus on utilising advanced analytics, data science and machine learning to better understand and predict customer behaviour.

This role is perfectly suited to a Graduate Data Scientist looking to kick start their career. Our client is also open to someone with circa 1 to 2 years' experience within Insurance.

You will be working alongside other Data Scientists and Actuaries to help build or enhance machine learning models which gives our client a competitive advantage when pricing insurance policies.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Data Scientist:

  • Improving and building new Machine Learning Models
  • Maintenance of Pricing Optimisation Models
  • Contributing to the assessment of loss ratios
  • Data cleansing and preparation for input into various model.
  • Assisting in the communication of key Pricing and product developments in the wider business

Skills & Experience of the Graduate Data Scientist

  • Minimum of 2:1 in a Data Science, Machine Learning or similarly numeric degree
  • A passion for all things Data Science
  • Experience using Python
  • Experience of building / enhancing machine learning models
  • Ideally you will have an understanding of the General Insurance market, such as Motor & Home Insurance (desirable)

This role requires 1 day per month in our clients Midlands office.
