Graduate Pricing Analyst sought for a leading General Insurer based in the Midlands. Our client sells a range of insurance products from Car Insurance and Home Insurance to bespoke Commercial Insurance products for businesses. They are recognised as an 'employer of choice' and renowned for their great working culture and wide range of staff benefits. Starting salary £25,000c rising every 6-12 months based on hitting development targets. Strong benefits package in addition, including bonus, generous annual leave, flex time & employer pension.


They are now in the process of recruiting for their Pricing Analyst Graduate Scheme, which is a highly analytical role well suited those with a strong background in mathematics / statistics. The graduate scheme will ensure you have a tailored development plan which is aimed at helping you apply your theoretical understanding of mathematics to real world problems.

You can expect to be involved in analysing large data sets to identify trends and make appropriate Pricing recommendations. You will be trained in cutting edge software including RADAR, EMBLEM, R & Python. You will also receive full training to build and enhance a variety of models (including General Linearized Models) which are used to calculate an accurate and fair price for customers. Our client has an abundance of highly accessible internal and external data sets which can be used to enhance the skills of those joining the graduate scheme.


  • Passion for using statistics / mathematics to solve business problems.
  • Interest in pursuing an Analytical / Actuarial / Data Science career.
  • Relevant academics / degree (see below).

This is a highly analytical role and the ideal candidate will have studied a degree in one of the following (or equivalent) subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Actuarial Science
  • Physics
  • Astro Physics
  • Engineering
  • Or another heavily numerate subject

You will also be able to demonstrate credible A level (or equivalent) results in numerate subjects (Maths, Further Maths, Sciences).
